Description
NEEL 47: An innovative concept. With the trimaran Neel 47, which is just over 14 meters long, the shipyard based in La Rochelle, France, led by concept founder Eric Bruneel closes the gap between the smaller 45 and the 51 model. The innovative design, which combines plenty of living space with high sailing performance, can also be found in this new development, which was created in collaboration with Marc Lombard and his design group. A total of 83 square meters of living space and a further 18 square meters of technical and storage space are available. The connection between the indoor and outdoor areas via a large sliding door has been consistently implemented, as with its big sister, and offers an exceptionally open room ambience. New, however, are the separately accessible cabins in the side hulls, which are thus separated from the owner’s area on the main deck. An inside steering position, a sun lounger on the fixed bimini and many additional options round off the offer and make this boat highly attractive. The first units are due to be delivered to our customers in 2019 and we are very excited about this innovation from Neel Trimarans! NEEL trimarans are unique sailing boats that brilliantly combine unparalleled comfort on board and incredible sailing pleasure. A good balance due to the experience, know-how and skills of a team of passionate people.
Stability: A Neel trimaran sails with the main hull and the lee float in the water. This means that a Neel always has a slight lean when sailing (approx. 5-8°) and this lean remains stable even in strong winds! Reason: the wind pressure on a tri does not “only” have to lift the hull (as on a cat) but also push the leeward hull under water.

Construction method
In contrast to sporty cruising cats, our Neel trimarans do not require high-tech materials to keep the weight down. This is because the three hulls result in greater stability, which means that they do not have to be built with such extreme weight reduction. This reduces construction costs and repairs are easier in the event of damage.
