Seawind 1370
Description
Light and maneuverable through careful design and advanced lightweight construction – but most importantly capable of being heavily loaded without compromising performance – this cruising catamaran brings a generational shift in catamaran design. The 1370 has been built to a well-defined balance of seakeeping performance and onboard comfort demanded by modern cruising sailors. We have combined feedback from hundreds of catamaran owners and sailors with the practical experience and design principles of our experienced naval architects to create a sailboat design and structure that perfectly combines these two perspectives.
The 1370 is a bulletproof yacht that incorporates all the advances of the last decade in catamaran design and incorporates countless innovations in hull dynamics, structural engineering, exotic composite materials and manufacturing methods where other Seawind catamarans have been hard at work.
The Seawind 1370’s impressive reverse bows are not just a showpiece. They are the centerpiece of this catamaran design. By targeting the wave-breaking aspect and reducing the lean, this hull design offers improved sailing comfort and more safety through a smoother and more stable ride.

THE SEAWIND 1370 FULFILLS ALL OUR REQUIREMENTS
A performance-oriented, safe, bluewater-capable catamaran that is large enough to carry a payload for extended cruising, but can also be operated by two people… The Seawind 1370 meets all these criteria…” – Sailing Ruby Rose on the announcement of the new Seawind 1370
SAFE & PROTECTED OARS
The perfect balance of performance and lifestyle
This single-deck cruising catamaran is equipped with Seawind Catamarans’ essential protected twin helm stations, giving skippers complete protection and 360-degree visibility. Sheets, reefs and halyards are all led aft to the electric sheet winches on the helm wheels, making rough, near-shore passages more comfortable and doable from the safety of the dry and protected cockpit.
The open living area with saloon, galley, cockpit and helm station on one level makes this catamaran an incomparably open living area. But that’s not all: the catamaran model 1370 goes one step further with another Seawind premiere – the innovative new breakfast (or evening) bar with integrated seating. It makes the first rest break after a fast day’s sailing a truly simple pleasure and serves as a coffee area in the morning when you’re ready to get going. The 1370 has an integrated grill and sink in the cockpit as well as lounges on the foredeck and in the cockpit.
The best of both worlds – high quality equipment and craftsmanship
This brand new catamaran is equipped with all modern conveniences while offering true boatbuilding craftsmanship on all levels. The Model 1370 catamaran features exquisitely crafted joinery throughout, complemented by a well-balanced saloon that is bathed in bright natural light and good air circulation thanks to Seawind’s famous tri-fold door and forward opening window system. The fully equipped galley comes with a bar fridge, a large 130-liter chest freezer and an abundance of storage space as standard. This makes her ideal for extended sailing trips and for sailing couples with different needs for toys and equipment on their own unique journey.

FAST AND EFFICIENT HULL DESIGN
The perfect balance between performance and safety
The 1370 is the result of collaboration with our design partners, The Yacht Design Collective, and offers a balance between performance and safe, comfortable seakeeping. The weight of the vessel is at the top end of the category, just below the category requiring significant additional cost for full carbon epoxy construction, making the 1370 light and maneuverable for a spacious 45-footer. Crucially, the 1370 can be heavily loaded without compromising sailing performance. Countless hours have been invested in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) studies to find the best balance between speed and comfort under sail, allowing Seawind to favor robust systems such as mini-keels and spade rudders without sacrificing sailing performance.
Seawind Catamarans, in collaboration with The Yacht Design Collective, has invested countless man-hours in the design and optimization of the hull, sparing no expense to refine the crucial sailing ergonomics for a modern cruising pair. The new 1370 catamaran model has the lofty goal of achieving a perfect balance between performance and comfort in a 45-foot bluewater cruiser – this catamaran has been designed to be the best all-around cruising sailboat on the market. Our rigorous design efforts have produced a hull capable of truly exhilarating light air and heavy weather speeds and impressive fore-and-aft capabilities, while being easy to handle whether short-handed or single-handed.
