Description
The new Seawind 1170 is the latest model, packed with classic Seawind DNA design features and modern lines, suitable for both inshore cruising and more serious offshore sailing. The base specification of the Seawind 1170 is blue water capable and features 2 large fuel tanks (520L total), a large central water tank (500L), twin 29hp inboard diesels and ample storage space. Optional large solar panels and lithium battery banks extend the boat’s self-sufficiency capabilities for those wishing to go off-grid.
The multifunctional saloon area with swivel table provides an excellent work surface for those who need to communicate on business or otherwise. Combined with a large navigation table, the boat comfortably accommodates multiple workstations when you need to connect.
Sailing performance was paramount in the design, and the hulls have been optimized for offshore sailing. The construction comes from the world-famous New Zealand company Gurit, meets all category A conditions and is manufactured using the best processes. Resin infusion in all areas with extensive use of carbon reinforcement in high stress areas, vinyl ester resin for all hull laminates to improve structural properties and protect against osmosis.

With a headroom of 6’5″ throughout the boat, the 1170 offers generous accommodation for a 39-foot catamaran.

The double helm stations not only offer excellent weather protection and safety, but also provide a direct view of all four corners of the boat from both helm stations. On a single, flat level, the skipper can move effortlessly from helm to helm while remaining in the middle of the action with family, guests or crew for whom he is responsible on board.
