Stability and performance combined with high volume are the goals we have achieved in the development of this hull. The shape of the rudder and the profile of the fin are the result of cutting-edge research aimed at achieving high speeds and lightning-fast performance, giving helmsmen perfect control and easy handling in all types of navigation and weather conditions. The development and optimization of these geometries is based on the constant flow of information that our studio collects in real time from its yachts: Maxis, Minimaxis and TP52s that compete with great success all over the world. The large maximum beam, which extends uninterrupted to the stern, provides an unusually large saloon for a yacht of this size. These elements combined with the most advanced technologies have enabled us to create a design of unparalleled beauty that performs incredibly well under sail and yet is exceptionally easy to handle.
Nauta Design - Massimo Gino and Mario Pedol
The A66 is the result of a collaboration between two world-class design studios: Nauta Design and Reichel/Pugh. Nauta describes the new 66-foot yacht as follows: “Modernity, ease of handling and seduction are the key words for the design we created for Advanced Yachts. We designed the yacht with an aggressive new-generation hull shape characterized by large, load-bearing aft volumes and deck geometries that convey a sense of speed and efficiency. The almost oversized cockpit evokes a relaxing, summer cruising atmosphere, while the large glass surfaces on the coachroof make sailing a pleasure at any time of year. Below deck, we have created an inviting environment with a large, open saloon and 360-degree wraparound windows. Separate areas for different functions make life on board as comfortable as at home.
